Carrie J. McIndoe

Ms. McIndoe has been in the field of entrepreneurship and strategic business planning and financing for emerging growth companies for over 20 years, having created Business Plan Bootcamp for entrepreneurs and funding diverse companies such as Boston Duck Tours, Boston Market and Blockbuster Video. She is acknowledged as a change agent, mentor, and educator. Ms. McIndoe's recent pioneering work in student entrepreneurship education through teacher training workshops has impacted nearly half a million youth, many from at-risk communities.

Ms. McIndoe is a graduate of Boston University with a BS in Business Administration and received a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University Extension School. She was awarded the Boston University Metropolitan College Alumni Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession and the Henry Morgan Award for outstanding contribution to the Entrepreneurial Management Institute Program.

Ms. McIndoe created and developed an educational training program called Business Plan BootCamp™. The program focuses on training entrepreneurs and CEO's of emerging growth companies on "How to Prepare an Investment Grade Business Plan". Private label BootCamp's were conducted at Harvard and Boston University. Expertise with Business Plan Bootcamp led to the rejuvenation and revision of EntrePrep Summer Institute. Ms. McIndoe, backed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, ran five pilot programs. The successful completion of these programs confirmed the need and demand, nationwide for youth to be provided economic entrepreneurship education. Currently, EntrePrep and Business Plan BootCamp are being rolled out nationwide.

Randall Zug

Mr. Zug has a background in economic analysis and consulting for research and financial institutions. He has also served as an advisor to senior management teams in the development of new technology infrastructure, and the reengineering of business processes. Accomplishments include streamlining regular operations, cultivating information from previously underutilized data, and insuring that transitions to new routines are seamless, efficient, effective and robust.

Mr. Zug designed and created the operational structure of EntrePrep from its inception, and built out its economic entrepreneurship education program. Through active participation in the post-pilot program Mr. Zug incorporated an economic analysis model to further enhance the program's commitment to ensure the economics is the cornerstone and foundation in teaching entrepreneurship. Mr. Zug is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics.

Carrie Woerner, Advisor

Carrie Woerner is General Manager of MeetMax Conference Software, a division of The Wall Street Transcript. She established the software division in Saratoga Springs in 2008 and has grown it at a rate of 30% annually.

Ms. Woerner began her career at IBM, working in software product development management and marketing. After leaving IBM, she joined Perot Systems Corporation in 1996 to develop a company strategy for entering the Internet Services market. This strategy resulted in the formation of a new business unit, Time0, offering technology and development services in the business-to-business ecommerce market. Ms. Woerner ran business development and marketing for Time0 until 2001.

In 2001, she joined Strategic Capital Resources assisting clients formalize their business plans. From 2002-2008, she served as Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation; in that role she expanded membership and donations, published a guidebook and produced an annual statewide conference on historic preservation.

Elected Round Lake Village Trustee in 2008, and re-elected in 2010, Ms. Woerner formed and chairs the Round Lake Open Space Protection group and has proposed/passed changes to local laws dealing with zoning and planning. She is a champion of fiscal responsibility at all levels of government, and has worked to control spending and reduce the tax burden on Round Lake residents each year in office. Ms. Woerner is a member of the Town of Malta Planning Board, the Malta Sunrise Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors of Saratoga Arts. Ms. Woerner has an MBA from Santa Clara University and a bachelor's degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Ron Finlayson, Advisor

Ron Finlayson a director of Outerlink Corporation and directs their government solutions division. Finlayson has extensive experience in the venture capital industry, most recently as a Venture Partner with Zero Stage Capital of Cambridge Massachusetts where he advised, monitored and planned exits for portfolio companies. Mr. Finlayson developed a dual use investment strategy in the workout of Zero Stage Capital’s Fund XI and Fund XII portfolio and was primarily responsible for the formation of Zero Stage Capital V, their most successful fund to date.

Board assignments included Worldwinner, Inc. (online venue for games of skill), Outerlink Corp. (spread spectrum satellite messaging and tracking), Livewave, Inc. (management of video streams for intelligence, defense, homeland defense, and security), Netkey, Inc. (kiosk management software), First Service Networks, Inc. (online site for management of enterprise physical plant maintenance), Axxis Petroleum, Inc. (downstream petroleum price data collection software), Bluestreak, Inc. (online advertising). Ron also advised Aprilis, Inc. (holographic data storage and biometric analysis technology), Imaging Automation (advanced document authentication and access control technology).

At Saturn Capital in Boston, Massachusetts, Finalyson specialized in media technology companies with defense, intelligence and security applications. Prior to Saturn Capital, he worked with Venture Marketing International and before that at Schooner Capital where he was among the first venture capital professionals to invest in companies in the emerging entrepreneurial sector of Eastern Europe and the republics of the former Soviet Union. Mr. Finlayson speaks and reads Russian with conversational proficiency.

Prior to his career in venture capital Mr. Finlayson advised members of Congress and other elected officials with a focus on arms control, defense conversion and capital formation issues.
